Maintance Tips
1.If you have found that perfect used boat tell the owner you want to have the vessel checked out. At Brown's Marine Service we will perform several checks. A complete compression check of the engine, presents of water in the Gear Case, structural integrity of the transom and sub floor, electrical components. The normal fee for this inspection is $50.00 dollars. Additional inspections such as in the water evaluation can be done for an additional fee. 2.Major engine manufactures recommend that you change the water pump every two years. 3.If you are not using your vessel frequently (once every 10-14 days) we recommend to the owners of non-oil injected engines that after every use you disconnect the fuel line and run the engine until it runs out of fuel (at the very end you will hear a rise in RPM this is normal) this will prevent the gummy build up in your carburetor's.
